12 years!!

Tomorrow (July 20th) is our 12th Wedding Anniversary! I can't believe it has been 12 years!! There was SO MUCH that we didn't know when we first married (19 years old) and I feel like we 'grew up together'. You still have a lot to learn about life at 19 and we learned about it together! Needless to say, it hasn't been easy to get to where we're at today *smile* but I honestly wouldn't change a thing. I'm so blessed to have him by my side.

This weekend we had 6 of our nephews and nieces in our home. At one point I was at the mall with all 6 of them and though they were a hand full (ranging in age from 2-15), I was enjoying every minute of it. I called Alex and said, "this is what our Mothers felt like with us"! (we both come from families with 6 kids) I loved waking up in the morning and hearing them all talking and laughing in the living room, I loved giving my 2 year old niece her nightly bath, I loved having 6 kids sitting around the dining room table every night, I loved picking up candy wrappers that hit the floor instead of the trashcan...I could go on and on. Thank you to my sisters for letting us 'borrow' your kids for the weekend...we loved every minute of it.

I still pray on a daily basis that God will allow us to be parents. At one point this weekend, I went into the bathroom and just cried. Children truly are a blessing from God and I pray He will bless us with a family of our own someday. Happy Anniversary babe! I love you with all my heart.

Jill

Happy anniversary to you!!! We share the same exact anniversary - how cool is that?? (ours is today as well - the 20th) The picture of you two is gorgeous, it really captures a loving moment and is beautiful. I'm glad you had a good weekend - and I'm still praying that soon you will have your house full of children that you guys have wanted for so long. Jill - you have a heart of gold, and I hope that this time next year you are holding a little one in your arms. ((hugs))

Happy Anniversary to you two!! My hubby and I got married young too... I was 20 and he was 22. It's been a blessing ever since (6 years is Aug)! Sounds like a FUN weekend with nieces and nephews-- I have given my older sister (who has a 7 mo old) a hard time telling her that our whole lives she's had to do things before me and I was able to come behind her, learn from HER mistakes, and do it perfectly. Ha ha! Same way with having kids, I guess. :) All in God's perfect timing-- he is SO GOOD. Praying!!!

Happy Anniversary! If you even want to borrow kids, we can share!! LOL I am just kidding. I know that pain of longing for a houseful of kids all too well. I am praying for you and praying that you will have your own houseful of kids VERY SOON!! I miss you, Jill. I feel like I haven't seen you in forever!
I love you both,

Belated Happy Anniversary!

Wow 12 years! That's amazing!

It's funny you are talking about six kids. Now that DH and I are having problems having baby # 1 ... we are praying for more kids than we can handle! (And we joke about a half dozen) ... wouldn't that be just like God?

Anyhow, your pic is beautiful. Happy Anniversary again,
Polly

Hey Jill,
I have lost your email address and I was hoping you would send it to me at nikkiwallace2002 at yahoo.com. I have set my blog to private for a couple of reasons, but I wanted to list you as a reader and they ask for your email address. Hope you are enjoying your summer. I really love reading your blog.
