Beta #2

Okay, we may have to put Alex on some sort of medication for worry. He has always been very protective of me, but since we found out that I'm pregnant...oh my goodness! I believe his words were...."I just want to put you in a bubble for the next 9 months." Bless his heart. Gotta love him. :) The good news is...I don't think I'll have to lift a thing for the next 9 months. HA!

The nurse called with my second beta result and it was 1199. She said my progesterone is exactly where they want it and everything looks wonderful! They have scheduled my first u/s for April 2nd (my brother, Andrew's b-day!). We will get to see how many there are and hear the heartbeat(s)! We're so excited. Alex shared the news with his work and one of the girls there, sent home a Mimi's Maternity gift card to me, yesterday! How sweet was that? She also has a brand new pack and play that she wants to give us. I was thinking we could keep it at my parents for when we visit them, that way we don't have to pack it up each time we go. My Mom asked if I had started looking at things online and I really haven't. I have waited so long for this...it honestly feels like a dream. Maybe after our appointment, next Thursday, it will seem real. :)

I'm excited to say that my S-I-L, Sara, is pregnant, as well!! I'm really excited that we get to share this experience together! I actually have 5 girlfriends that are pregnant right now (most of them go to my church) and all of our due dates are Oct-Nov! Alex says we're going to grow Journey Church, one baby at a time. HA!

Well, that's all I have for now...just wanted to give you an update on things.

Love you guys,
Jill

That just makes it hit that Im really preggers. It is kinda funny how we seem to be having another lil babyboom at church. Its so fun and im so excited for every1. Jill, i can't wait to hear if it's one baby or two!!! let's see what happens, and i completely understand alex for wanting to put you in a bubble for 9 months.... so cute! if you need a cute bassinett let me know, it's now in the attic since John William doesn't fit in there anymore and i don't think we will use it again:). Let me know!

Glad to hear your levels are where they need to be. Brian was exactly the same way with the bubble. The papa bear does come out when the mama bear is expecting a GREAT little creation in there. Can't wait to hear more and know that our entire church is praying for Baby Averitt (and Carey and Sara's baby too).

I can just feel the excitement in your heart through this post! Rejoicing with you on another great report! You let Alex wait on you hand and foot if he wants to! You deserve it - you've waited a long time for this!

We're going to all put you in a "prayer bubble" and ask God to keep you and those precious babies safe. I can only imagine how exciting April 2nd is going to be for you and Alex. Can't wait to hear all about it!

Congratulations to Sara, also! How fun to be able to share this journey with so many girlfriends alongside you.

Love,
Emilie

I'm pretty sure that as soon as we get home you are going to have a little brother helping Alex get you into that bubble. :) You might as well just let them take care of you 24/7. Drew is thrilled that you get such big news on his birthday.

I just read your comment you left me! YES I felt a bit bloated after IVF for a few weeks, but... I don't feel like it ever quite went away! It was as if it started as IVF bloating and then turned into "showing" since I had twins! ha! I really did start wearing maternity pants EARLY (8 weeks? 10 weeks?) because my pants were so tight and/or hurt because my belly (esp. my belly button!) was so tender. So... it seems with twins you show early... so MAYBE YOU have twins TOO!!!!! Can't wait to find out! I remember finding out I was preggo with twins last April 1- April Fools Day! Wasn't sure if anyone would believe me- ha! SOOOO excited for you guys. Can't stop praising God!

By the way, I have Your Pregnancy Week-By-Week and I LOVE it!!! Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy is also hysterical. In fact, I think I might read it tonight!

I know exactly what you mean about the daddy's fussing over the mommys! William has been the same way since we got pregnant as well. I guess their way of enduring pregnancy since they can't actually be pregnant, "since they are NOT Arnold Swartanager" hehe. I think it is sweet that he wants to protect you!! I am so excited for you I can't wait to see how many there are!
I know what you mean about it feeling like a dream I am sure that things will set in to reality when you hear the heartbeat (s)!
