The dentist...

I went to the dentist yesterday for my 6 month cleaning. We took x-rays last time, assuming that I would be preggers this time around. My hygienist and dentist were so excited for me. They want me to call next week, to let them know how many babies we're having. I got the speech about flossing every night. (I get this speech every 6 months) I'm really going to do better though. From what I understand, oral health is even more important while pregnant. I use my Sonicare toothbrush, twice a day. I absolutely love that thing. I have to admit, I don't floss every evening before bed. I promised them that I would be an avid flosser, when I return in 6 months. :)

My friend Holly (mother of twins) gave me these wonderful books, yesterday. Alex and I both started reading, last night. :) We love them! I'm going into this, fairly clueless, so it's wonderful to read what's going on in there and what I can expect. Thank you, Holly...you're the best!!

I would have taken an actual picture of the books, but we no longer have a camera. I didn't tell you guys the funny story of when I first took the pregnancy test. Alex was holding the camera and out of excitement of seeing the positive sign, he began to rejoice. The camera flew in the air. He almost caught it a couple of times. It hit his hand, then his elbow, but in the end, it hit the bathroom floor. LOL I took it to the camera shop, but they said I would be better off to just buy a new one...it would cost a lot to fix it. We were wanting to upgrade anyway, so I see this as the perfect time to get my Canon SLR! :)

I hope you're all having a wonderful week! The weekend is almost here...yay!!!

Love you guys,
Jill

I just knew that story was going to end with the camera in the toilet!
I got you a book too and was worried it was going to be one of the two, but it's not :) So don't let anyone give you any more til I get a chance to give you the one I got :) I've read all of them and got you my favorite :)

I loved Your Pregnancy Week by Week! I am now reading Your Baby's First Year Week by Week (I have a 5 1/2 month old baby boy)! You'll have to check it out in about 9 months! By the way I teach with Elaina and I have followed your blog from afar for quite some time in fact since before I was pregnant! My husband and I had about a year and a half journey in getting pregnant with our little man but thankfully we only had to go through Clomid treatments. My husband and I are very excited for you and have been praying for this day to come for your family! Can't wait to hear about your next appt.!

I had exactly the same books at the beginning of my pregnancy and I loved both of them. I am so excited that you are reading them too knowing all that is going on inside you!! {{hugs}}

Ok girl.... I hated pregnancy books because they caused me to worry way too much about what could go wrong. The ones I had constantly talked about the things that could indicate something was wrong...so my unsolicited advice - only read the fun/good stuff in the books! :) And yay for a new camera!

So that's the rest of the camera dropping story. :) Can't believe you held the news in that long. I'm impressed.

And let me just say Air & Space Museum - far more entertaining than the NASA channel he watches at home. :)

Those are the EXACT two books I have next to my bed!! I love reading each week about what is happening in there! I am just like you with the flossing, too. I have such good intentions, but it just doesn't happen!
Still praying and praising God for your miracle baby or babies!!!
Have a great night!

I hate flossing too. I admit I dont floss like I should either.

I had that first book, the journal one. Loved it.

Funny about the camera too.

I want to make comments on your posts, but all I can think to say is YAAAAAYYYYYYYY! I am just still so excited for ya'll, I can't even tell you!

But that camera story is TOO funny. I can just picture that whole scene - and what a funny story for your new little one(s)!!!

Oh no -- so sorry about your camera (though I laughed at the story -- what a beautiful picture of ecstasy and surprise!).

I loved the "Your Pregnancy week by week" book. It was my favorite!
Also, definately buy that camera! Buying a SLR is the best thing we ever did! You can catch so much with a baby that you can't get with a point and shoot--- so you're going to need it! YAY!!! :)

I hate flossing too although I do love it afterward. :) It is just hard to make myself. :)

Those books sound great. I have head that the week by week one is so cool.

That is hilarious about the camera!! I hope you were able to retrieve your pictures on it before it bit the dust. :)

I probably should invest in Sonicare and I definitely should floss more often. I just hate the feeling of flossing- YUCK!

Anyway, hilarious about the camera... in a way! Hey, at least you get a new one!!! LOL!

How exciting!!!! That is just precious about Alex and the camera. Perfect reason to get the camera you've been wanting because you are going to be taking LOTS of pictures in the near future =)

You probably don't even want to know right now that I was a dental hygienist for 17 years! lol We can be relentless with our flossing message, can't we? But, seriously, it becomes super important while you are pregnant!

What a funny story about the camera! Oh well, at least it gave you an excuse to buy a new SLR! I love my Nikon SLR and don't know how I ever got by without it!

Hope you're enjoying you weekend!

Remember...you don't have to floss ALL your teeth -- only the ones you want to KEEP! (-:

Love you!

i know how close you've become to the Lord through all of this...but you will become even closer as you read about what is happening inside you, how each day, each second, your body is creating another being. all orchestrated by the Most High. amazing. awesome. even the very little things like flossing can affect the little one but just remember that ultimately there is nothing you can do to change what God has planned....so floss, but don't fret! love you bunches and read everyday to see what new thing you are feeling....

I really loved the week by week books, it gave us such great joy to sit in bed together every Sunday night and read what the upcoming week of pregnancy meant for our little girl. Enjoy every last moment of this time together!
Flossing sucks!

Bummer about the camera! Sad.

With the flossing - I found brushing my teeth and flossing in the shower has helped me do it more often since I made it part of my nightly shower routine.

I'm so excited for you. PRAYING still. ~~HUGS~~
